One Late Night is a first-person horror game where you play an employee who has to work late in an office building. At first it seems like your character is alone in the office, but you soon find out that this isn't exactly true.
The gameplay is simple in theory. Just use the virtual joystick on the left to move around the office and have small interactions with the objects in the setting, opening and closing doors and boxes and grabbing certain objects. This is at the beginning of the story, of course. But as the night wears on strange things start happening around you.
At first this only consists of strange messages on your computer screen or the photocopier. Maybe later a phone call will make you jump. But before you know it all sorts of even stranger things will be raising the hairs on your neck.
One Late Night's graphics are noteworthy. The PC version has a bit better quality in general, but visually the versions are almost identical.
One Late Night is a horror game that really manages to deliver some chills. You'll feel defenseless against the unknown threat of the office – and will discover that the apparently peaceful setting where you started the story has become something properly terrifying.
